flavour of the month: September

so another month ends and as we roll downhill towards the end of the year, I look forward to the approaching summer in Cape Town with warmer, longer days and pretty dresses worn with sandals…sigh.

I’m taking a little blog break for the next 2 weeks. I really feel like I need to recharge the batteries so that I can continue to give of my best here. Do you ever get like that? When the hamster wheel spins a little too fast…when there are too many balls in the air…
It’s been a busy year and the cracks are starting to show. We all need to take the time to stop loading the page, and refresh once in a while!

so enjoy this Flavour of the Month showing my favourite Instagram pics from September and I’ll see you back soon!

we went for a really lovely walk from Muizenberg Beach all the way to Kalk Bay along the coastal promenade…after ice creams, my boys decided catching a train back was a better option…

The perfect combination of colour & stripes can be found at all metro stations…

this patterned chest of drawers caught my eye…my son’s desk is plain white and I thought I might give the 3 drawers of his desk a similar treatment to these… Although I love colour, I’m a monochromatic girl at heart…a few bits & bobs above my workspace.

Proteas are my favourite indigenous flower of South Africa, and the pincushion variety is my extra favourite!
